Izmail Life Care center in Ukraine greets you in the name of our Lord.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I treasure every note I get after I send the prayer letter to you and read them on every Monday planning meeting. It is very important to us.

We had quite a busy month of February.
It has started with the meeting with one of the professors of the local University and the Chairman of the student committee. We have discussed the possibilities of work with the students of that University in the pro-life direction. They offered us to hold on-line pre-abortion counseling and to meet with students with our programs ("You are unique", "The consequences of abortion", "Cohabitation: cons and pros" …)

The students just got back from their vacations and we are eager to see where God will lead us. 90% of the students of this University are girls and the problem with abortion is present among them. We are glad that we can interact with so many young people through this work.

On the 7-8 of February the Life Care Center was visited by a group of people – representatives of Shadowline Films ministry. There were 5 people working on the documentary “Live or Let Live”.
The film they are working at will explore cultural forces undermining the value of human life and social injustices that result. Izmail Life Car Center was chosen to become a partner of this ministry. During two days of their visit in Izmail, they were able to film a story of one Ukrainian family, in which they shared how multiple abortions affected their lives and the lives of their children. Many other interviews were taken including mine, where I shared about the history, work and plans of the Life Care Center.

February is the month for usual pro-life essay contest held by the LCC among the schoolchildren of the 12th grade. 13-18 we spent on getting and reading through of their essays in which the young people could share their thoughts on the topic "The Value of Human Life". We have chosen the winner who is a young man with the pro-life values. After the ceremony of rewording him, which will be held next week, we are going to publish his essay on our web-site.

On the 17th of February the usual panel discussion "I am in Love, what's next"
was held among the second year students of a local College of Economics and Law. As usually it went really well and more than 30 young people could find out what abstinence is and why it is wise to practice it before marriage.

On Sunday after the worship service, one of our former clients and now our sister in Christ made an announcement that there are some children in the local hospital who need help. Those are the children who were left by their mothers in the Maternity house and before they go to the orphanage, they have to stay in hospital for three months, while they work on their legal papers. Usually those children are sick and need medical attention but because they do not have legal status yet, nobody pays for their treatment. They need Pampers, baby food and medicine (usually antibiotics). So our former clients formed a committee and called each other to collect some funds for these children. They are going to try to do this on regular bases. We think that the LCC can help these children too because we talk to the women in crisis into having the baby and place that child for the adoption. These are the children who were kept by their mothers and given the life but now it is our duty to help them live.

On the 24th we are getting ready for monthly meeting of our former clients. Up to 10 women come for the Bible Study group, where we study the topic "What is the Biblical understanding of anger".

Next week we are ready to start teaching a new group of pregnant women in "School for moms".
