Action "Help the Child"

Before Christmas Izmail Life Care Center held an action "Help the Child" among the former clients of our organization. Christmas is time when everyone gets presents like many years ago baby Jesus was brought presents from wise men. From that time on we are trying to give all the relatives presents for Christmas and are very busy picking them out according to their taste and wish – a doll for the niece, a toy car for a son… But who will give presents to those children who for many different reasons are brought up and raised by the State in the orphanages?

With help of the State Regional Department of Family and Youth we found out about the place where the children were in need of presents the most. There is a project at our Life Care Center called "School for moms", where the pregnant mothers and their husbands can go through a serious of classes to get ready for the birth of their child. After they graduate from School for Moms we stay in touch with most of them long term through Discussion Clubs, Support Groups… This time they decided that they would like to help the children in need. They brought clothes, shoes and toys for children of Suvorov Orphanage. We took all the things to the orphanage and held a Christmas program for the children. Together with children we sang Christmas carols, played games and had a spiritual time.

These children in Suvorovo (Odessa region, Ukraine) orphanage are well taken care of and our country tries to take care of the orphans through different programs. There are still many children in our region who need a family, who need the love of mother and father. Dear parents, do not be indifferent, if you are not ready to adopt them, just show them the love and care through warmth and attention. The State can satisfy their physical needs but every child in spite of his age dreams about a caring family, love and good attitude.
