On the 19th of March, 2009, workers of the Izmail Life Care Center were invited to attend a youth event on sexual education in Odessa. This event was organized by the youth organization "Campus Crusade" in the form of the panel discussion. About 200 students from different universities gathered in the conference hall at the polytechnic school.
Four speakers, "experts", were asked to talk and give answers to the questions: a Christian counselor, a young married couple, who abstained from sex before their marriage and Lika Roman - Miss Ukraine 2007, who is a Christian who believes that abstinence before marriage is important.

During the panel discussion the "experts" shared their opinions on various questions: differences in male and female psychology, what are appropriate activities when you date, how can you learn more about each other and stay away from sex, why the majority of young people cohabitate and what the consequences are, is there "safe" sex, and what are the advantages of abstinence before marriage.

During the discussion the students could ask questions and receive fast, comprehensive answers. Izmail Life Care Center workers learned a lot from the visit. We realized that we can teach abstinence lessons at village schools in a similar format. Usually we come to a village school only for a day and can't include/cover all the high school students. After attending we realized we could teach our lessons in the form of a panel discussion for students of all ages in an interesting and interactive manner. We could also invite different people as "experts" who share Christian views on abstinence before marriage.
